I have tried to locate a valid top 5 popular pirate movie list and it seems that everyone has their own opinion on which pirate movies have successfully made it to the top, so I’m going to give my top 5 favs. Pirate movies have always intrigued us, a life at seas and the life of a pirate will suck us in. They have their own codes that they live by and their lingo is quiet astonishing. The adventure that the movies take you on is incredible; the love, lust, battle, and adventure will lure anyone in.

My top 5 pirate movies would be:

The Goonies is an all time movie classic. It is a movie that we all have grown up with and have fallen in love with. Our kids today are keeping this movie circulating, it’s a movie that will remain with us forever. The Goonies was released in 1985 and is about a group of kids trying to save their families’ homes from facing foreclosure. They go on an adventure, looking for the treasure of the One Eyed Willy; a legendary pirate from the 17th century. It’s a movie full of adventure and laughs. The Goonies is such a great movie, I think when I get off work I’m going to go home, pop that movie in my DVD player, kids by my side, and a big bowl of popcorn.
